The recent ABS-CBN Ball was a moment of spring awakening for the media giant’s A-list celebrities, up-and-coming names, and special guests. However, notable individuals such as Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil and Joshua Garcia were noticeably absent from the star-studded affair.
The ABS-CBN Ball 2025, held at the Solaire North on Friday, April 4, was a tribute to spring, a symbol of new beginnings, with the biggest names in the entertainment industry donning sophisticated ensembles featuring florals, pastel colors, and other related elements celebrating the season.
Among the stars present were Vice Ganda, Kathryn Bernardo, Anne Curtis, Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino, Nadine Lustre, Sharon Cuneta, P-pop powerhouse BINI, Arjo Atayde, Maine Mendoza, Julia Barretto, Gerald Anderson, Ian Veneracion, Daniel Padilla, Richard Gutierrez, Maris Racal, Kaila Estrada and Anthony Jennings, among many others.
Also part of the event were Kapuso celebrities Michelle Dee, Mavy Legaspi and Ashley Ortega.
However, former ABS-CBN Ball regulars Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil — notable for their eye-catching red carpet looks — were absent from the event. Soberano was a former talent of the media giant until she pursued a career in Hollywood in 2022.

Gil was the lead star of the 2024 Star Cinema film “I Am Not Big Bird,” which also starred Pepe Herrera, Red Ollero and Nikko Natividad.
Another notable absence was Joshua Garcia who is set to appear in the Philippine adaptation of the hit K-drama “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” with Anne Curtis and Carlo Aquino. Curtis and Aquino were present at the gala.

“Lavender Fields” lead stars Jodi Sta. Maria, Jericho Rosales, Jolina Magdangal, Edu Manzano and Albert Martinez were nowhere to be seen at the ball as well. Janine Gutierrez, the drama’s central antagonist, graced the red carpet in a breathtaking maroon gown by Mark Bumgarner.
